Get Admission in Crimea Federal Medical University, Russia 2023 Intake

Under-Graduation classes start from September each year. Students should enter Ukraine not later than Oct 1st. The academic year lasts usually till June and then the students have a vacation. The academic year is divided into two semesters (terms): the autumn one (September to January) and the spring one (February to May). There is winter vacation (1-2 weeks) and summer vacation (about 2 months) between the terms. The discipline at CSMU is quite strict with obligatory attendance of most practical classes and lectures, which is under the constant control of the Dean’s office. Post-Graduate students are enrolled to the clinical ordinature every first day of the month (except July and August) during the academic year. Post-Graduate admission is dependent on the availability of seats for the particular specialization.

UNDER-GRADUATION

The under-graduate degree program prepares the students for comprehensive clinical knowledge –diagnostics and treatment of patients. Practical skills training are of particular significance. Beginning from the third year and till graduation from the University at practical classes and during summer practical training, students work with patients, master and use modern methods of diagnostics and treatment. An important form o the University, with a set of tests to meet the requirements of licensing examinations KROK-1 and KROK-2 in medicine.

POST-GRADUATION

Post-Graduate study for foreign citizens is fixed according to the application and the country requirements. Term of training at the clinical ordinature on therapeutic specialties is 2 years, for surgical ones – 3 years and for particular specialty like neurosurgery and others – 4-5 years. In May 2006 an international certification of CSMU carried out by the International Education Society (IES), London. CSMU has become the first medical school in Ukraine to pass such an international certification.

In 2006, the first 47 graduates of CSMU from Germany, India, Malaysia, Mauritius, Maldives, Pakistan, Palestine, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon received International Certificates of IES. Taking into account the growing requirements to standardization of education in the world and longstanding experience of CSMU in training of foreign students, this international certification will contribute to the rise in international rating of University graduates.

Most foreign students trained at Crimean State Medical University named after S. I. Georgievsky stay in comfortable hostels in the campus. The campus is built on the bank of the River Salgir in a five minutes’ walk from the educational buildings. On the opposite bank of the Salgir there is Gagarin Park, the largest and most beautiful park in Simferopol, a favorite place of rest for the citizens and guests of our town. Students who have just arrived are settled in Hostel No.2 on the territory of the University itself.

Here during the first year of studies the students are adapted to life in Ukraine. On the ground floor of the same building there are classrooms of the preparatory faculty. The rooms in this hostel are for three or four persons. There is shower room, two kitchens, a classroom on every floor. There are also several students’ canteens and cafes on the territory of the University.
Rooms in other hostels of the campus are intended for two or three persons. These hostels are of apartment type. Every apartment is for 3-5 persons and has a shower room and a lavatory. On the territory of the campus there are food shops, 10 cafes of national Indian, Malaysian, Chinese and Arabic cuisine, several Internet-cafes, public telephones, a laundry, a sports ground and a special place for barbecue cooking.
There is also a taxi park near the campus. In Hotel No. 4 there is an electronic reading hall where students may visit the University site and get an approach to all the teaching and methodical manuals necessary to prepare for classes and exams. Both the territory of the University and the main students’ routes from the hostels to the educational buildings are protected and patrolled by officers of guard service. The hostels fees at CSMU are from 500 to 800 USD per year depending on the conditions and the level of conveniences provided.
